Original Hirbawi Um Suleiman Keffiyeh
Original Hirbawi Um Suleiman Keffiyeh
The design of this keffiyeh found inspiration in the red and black beetle (Um Suleiman), whose natural beauty has had a strong influence on Arabic culture and can be seen in paintings, traditional and modern music (e.g. Tic Tic Um Suleiman from Fairuz), and in poetry.
The traditional Palestinian scarf is known as Keffiyeh or Hatta. Local manufacturing of this symbol of the Palestinian struggle for freedom is sadly vanishing, with most keffiyehs sold around the world – and even in Palestine – being made in China or India. Today, only one factory remains in Palestine: The Hirbawi family in Hebron continues to weave the only original keffiyeh made in Palestine.
PSC offers you the unique opportunity to purchase an original keffiyeh delivered to your home, worldwide.
