The key is the symbol of the Palestinian Right to Return to the lands stolen in 1948, 1967 and since then. Many Palestinian families still have they keys to the houses they were driven from when the state of Israel was created.
In 2016, acclaimed East End artist and cartoonist Tim Sanders visited Palestine. His trip was crowd funded by Tower Hamlets Palestine Solidarity Campaign.
He toured the West Bank with the Jenin Freedom Theatre’s Freedom Bus. Many of his original images were included in PSC’s 2018 calendar. Tim focused not just on the horrors of the Occupation, but also on the joys and pleasures of life in Palestine.
